Happy Thanksgiving!
Enjoy a discount on a yearly subscription
Dear readers,
Thank you for being a loyal subscriber to my Substack!
This year has been filled with visions of how EduThirdSpace may look in the future—the content, the community, and how this publication can advance educational endeavors—and over the next month I’ll be sharing that vision with you.
One thing that I can tell you now is that the cost to become a paid subscriber will increase on January 1st—going from $5/month to $7/month and from $35/year to $50/year. To show my gratitude for joining the EduThirdSpace community and sticking with me, I have a special offer for free and monthly subscribers: Sign up to become a yearly paid subscriber from now until December 31st and receive 20% off your yearly subscription. This offer locks you into a lower rate for the next year, helping you save $$$ and avoid the rising subscription cost, so...
Another focus of growth in the new year will be on developing a broader philosophy of education that will guide the sort of content and resources (yes, resources!) provided to subscribers. I started publishing pieces with this aim in 2025, but the philosophical area of my writing will become more central to EduThirdSpace’s focus in 2026. For example, I started 2025 with a series of posts subtitled: “Developing a philosophy of education—bit by bit, or post by post”. And more recently, I published a back-and-forth exchange between my friend and colleague Patrick J. Casey covering the topic of education in a liberal society.
Check out—or revisit—both for a taste of more to come. Developing a philosophy of education has the links to all subsequent posts at the bottom of the page.
Public education in a liberal society has the links to the introduction and all back-and-forth exchanges at the top of the page.
I am proud to have published both series and am grateful to you, my subscribers, for having read and shared these and other posts that you found valuable and worth your time. As I continue on the journey of growth, I hope that you will stay by my side and maybe even encourage friends, family, and colleagues to join us.
Happy Thanksgiving! I wish you and your loved ones a day filled with gratitude, love, and peace.
Best wishes,
Samantha
